Introduction

UNITED Sports is a sports magazine for Rookie und All-Star. The Magazine is about the three most famous sports of America: Basketball, Baseball and American Football. Since seasons for the three sports are during different times if the year, the magazine only reports on the current sport. To keep the sport fans up to date at any time and anywhere there is an additional app.

Logo Design

Uniting three different sports solely pertaining to the league from the USA, the magazines name „UNITED“ is easily understood.

The font makes a very solid and heavy impression which which suits the image of the three different sports. The frame associates the summary of the three sports in one magazine.

Cover Design

The layout of the cover and of its pages is clean and modern. In order to convey the personal mood of the sport, quite unusual photographs have been chosen for the covers. It‘s like seeing the sport from a different perspective. Unlike other sports magazines the cover appears calm and tidy, creating a completely different atmosphere and perspective on the sport.

Layout example

This world of images sets UNITED apart from many other sports magazines.

Not only the covers but also the interior layout convey such a mood.

The interior layout also makes use of rather calm and unobtrusive images. The text is surrounded by quotes and headlines.

App design

The app is designed like the magazine, quite modern and clean. You can choose which sport you want to informed on and can also watch live streams of the games.While designing the app it was important that the user would not become overwhelmed with information and graphics.

Conclusion

The magazine differs from other sport magazines through its cove,r layout and inner design. As only the edition of the current sport will be published, the magazine becomes even more exclusive and unique.
